The EcoTech Marine RMS (Radion Mounting System) Single Arm Tank Mount System is a heavy-duty, low-profile mounting solution designed to attach a single Radion XR15 or XR30 LED light fixture directly to the rim of your aquarium. This system eliminates the need to drill holes into your ceiling or wall, making it ideal for reefers who prefer a sleek, tank-anchored setup. 
While older RMS models spanned Gens 1 to 4, EcoTech Marine updated the system's top adapter brackets to provide adequate clearance and optimal airflow for the top-mounted cooling fans featured on G5 and G6 Radion fixtures. 
Key Features & Design
  • Tailored Kit Sizes: The system is split into two distinct kits. The XR15 RMS Kit includes a smaller X-bracket and shorter sliding rails (7" and 10"). The XR30 RMS Kit features a larger X-bracket and includes an additional 13" rail to support wider tanks. 
  • Built-in Cord Management: Hidden channels run along the top of the slider rail and down the back of the heavy-duty vertical arm. This architecture keeps power cables neatly tucked away and completely out of sight. 
  • Versatile Tank Compatibility: The base clamp features a removable internal spacer. Keep the spacer installed for rimmed tanks up to 1-3/8 inches thick, or slide it off to achieve a secure flush fit on rimless tanks up to 2-1/4 inches thick. 
  • Multi-Axis Adjustability: The sliding rail allows you to push the light forward or backward to perfectly center it over your rockwork. Additionally, the X-bracket can be rotated, allowing you to mount the light lengthwise or front-to-back depending on your tank's footprint. 
Compatibility Notes for G5 / G6 Users
If you are buying a brand-new retail unit, ensure the packaging explicitly specifies compatibility with Gen 5 / Gen 6 fixtures. 
If you happen to have an older legacy Radion RMS arm (originally built for G1–G4 models), the structural metal arm and base clamp are identical. However, you must swap out the older legacy X-bracket for the newer EcoTech Marine G5/G6 RMS Slider Adapter. Using a G5 or G6 light on an older G4 bracket blocks the top cooling fan, causing it to run constantly, loudly, and potentially overheat the light fixture.
