The EcoTech Marine Vectra M2 Barb and Screen Kit is an optional plumbing accessory package designed to simplify soft tubing connections and provide physical intake protection for your Vectra M2 centrifugal return pump.

  • Soft Plumbing Alternative: Ideal for hobbyists who want to avoid gluing rigid PVC pipes or are intimidated by traditional hard-plumbing setups. 
  • Pump Protection: The included intake screen blocks large debris, snails, fish, filter socks, or loose objects from getting sucked into the pump volute, preventing impeller damage. 
  • Color Matched: Designed with the same aesthetic finish as the Vectra pump line for a cohesive look inside your sump. 
Kit Contents & Specifications
  • 1x Intake Barb Fitting: Measures 1.25 inches (1 1/4").
  • 1x Output Barb Fitting: Measures 1 inch.
  • 1x Intake Screen: Slots directly onto the intake side.
Installation Steps
  1. Unscrew the collar on your Vectra M2 pump.
  2. Insert the barb or screen into the housing.
  3. Remove the red O-ring if you are explicitly installing the intake screen.
  4. Thread the collar back on to hand-tighten and secure the fitting. 
Common Applications
  • Standard In-Sump Use: Most setups utilize the intake screen on the bottom and the 1-inch output barb on top to run vinyl or silicone hose up to the tank's return line. 
  • Closed-Loop / External Use: If running the pump externally or in a closed loop, the additional intake barb allows you to run soft tubing on both sides of the pump.
